Understand Suspension Trauma to Save Lives

In honor of OSHA's National Safety Stand-Down to prevent Falls in Construction (9/14-9/18) please remember to cover Suspension Trauma with your workers. Suspension Trauma occurs when an employee is suspended in a fall protection harness after a fall. The harness severely restricts blood flow in the legs rendering the employee unconscious within minutes, and can be fatal within a mere 30 minutes! Suspension Trauma Straps should be part of any personal fall arrest system in which the employee cannot self-rescue. Here is a quick demonstration on how it works:
